  17. <p>     "I'm probably just like every guy in the street who'd love
  18. to be able to sing outside of the shower." He may say so, but
  19. JACK LEMMON isn't every guy in the street: when he makes an
  20. album after nearly 30 years, it's something special. Lemmon's
  21. new Piano & Vocals is a jazzy compilation featuring three
  22. numbers he composed. A play-by-ear pianist, the actor says he's
  23. always played for enjoyment, but if he were serious, he'd learn
  24. how to read music. "It scares me to death when I'm recording
  25. with professionals because I don't know what in the hell's
  26. going on," he says. "They just nod and I try to come in."
